What a joke!! Why would you buy a >$3000, 1600 x 1200-pixel resolution 20.1-inch color LCD when you can get a 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution 24 inch, color LCD from Dell for $825. We have done extensive monitor studies and have shown no advantage of 3 or 5 mega pixel LCDs over 2 MP LCD in the detection of cervical spine fracture on CR images. We have also shown that monitor luminance has higher impact on diagnostic accuracy. Brighter the monitor, better the accuracy. We also think “size does matter” and currently are conducting studies comparing standard 21”, 24”, 30” and 45” LCD displays.
